Everton travel to Southampton on Sunday needing vast improvement in form to pick up three points and put clear distance between themselves and relegation zone of the English Premier League.
The Toffees have won just one match in two months of football in all competitions and are coming off the back of a 5-1 thrashing at home to Atalanta on Thursday night in the Europa League.
Currently two points ahead of the drop zone, a win could see them launch up the table to as far as 11th and give the team a good grounding heading into a busy and difficult period.
Southampton themselves have been struggling in the opening stages of the season and Sunday’s match could be a tight affair, both desperate to find some positivity.
